Mohot
Mohot is a semi-hard curd spread with cream and salt, often served as a side dish with cured meats. Mohot can be seasoned with cumin, red pepper, or allspice.
Savinjski zelodec
Zgornjesavinjski želodec is a long-lasting cured meat product, made on a farm using a traditional process that is over a hundred years old. Its area is the Upper Savinja Valley with a typical pre-Alpine climate.
Zlinkrofi
Upper Savinja žlinkrofi differ from Idrija žlinkrofi mainly in their rich, savory filling. They are made from well-kneaded, hand-stretched dough and filled with smoked ham, bread, eggs, onions, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. In some areas, wild garlic (čemaž) or cottage cheese is added for variation. Today, they are a beloved local specialty served in almost every inn across the Upper Savinja Valley and prepared on farms and rural homesteads. They are best enjoyed topped with crispy cracklings.
Maslovnik
Maslovnik or masunjek is a traditional shepherd's dish made from sweet and sour cream and mixed with a little white, buckwheat or corn flour.
